Refund Policy

TL;DR 14 days, no questions asked. Email support@aichatarchive.app with your order ID and you'll get a full refund. Your license key will be revoked.

1. The offer

If you purchase an AI Chat Archive license and change your mind for any reason, you can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase. We won't ask why.

2. How to request a refund

Send an email to support@aichatarchive.app with:

Your order ID (in the purchase confirmation email from Polar)
The email address you used to buy

You don't need to explain why. We'll confirm within one business day and forward the refund request to Polar, our Merchant of Record, who processes the actual refund. Funds typically return to your original payment method within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

3. What happens to your license after a refund

When a refund is issued, your license key is added to our revoked.json list. The extension checks this list approximately once per week, so the paid features will lock within a few days of the refund. If you want the lock to take effect immediately, you can reinstall the extension or manually clear its storage — the license validates against the revocation list on startup.

4. Subscription refunds

The 14-day window applies to both one-time purchases and the first month of a subscription. If you later cancel a subscription after the 14-day window, you keep access for the remainder of the billing period already paid for; no refund is issued for the current month, and no further charges will be made.

5. Edge cases

Bought the wrong tier. Refund the purchase under this policy and rebuy the correct one. We don't offer mid-stream tier swaps.

Forgot your license key. Don't refund — use the Restore Purchase flow to recover the key via Polar's customer portal.

Bought more than 14 days ago. The 14-day window is firm. If the extension stopped working because of a bug we introduced, contact support anyway — that's a bug, not a refund situation, and we'll fix it.

6. Chargebacks

If you file a chargeback with your bank instead of emailing us, Polar will handle the dispute, and your license will be revoked. We'd much rather just refund you directly via email — it's faster and doesn't cost either of us anything.
